BP baseball team opens playoffs with a win

The top-seeded Blooming Prairie baseball team beat Goodhue 10-0 in six innings in the first round of the Subsection 1A West Division playoffs Tuesday in Riverland.
The Awesome Blossoms (17-4 overall) scored six times in the fifth to break the game open and Israel Clark went six innings while giving up just five hits and striking out nine.
“Once we settled down and started hitting we took over,” BP head coach Chris Staloch said. “Israel just came out and threw strikes.”
