Boys and Girls Club to have free lunch

The Boys and Girls Club of Blooming Prairie is participating in the Summer Food Service Program through the Minnesota Department of Education. Breakfast and lunch will be provided at no charge to all club members.

Meals will be served at the Boys and Girls Club, 401 Fourth St. S.E., in Blooming Prairie. The meals begin June 1 and continue Monday through Friday until Aug. 28.

Breakfast will be served from 8:15 a.m. to 9 a.m. Lunch will be served from noon until 1 p.m. Snacks will also be included.

The Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) is a USDA child nutrition program that provides cash reimbursement for nutritious meals and snacks served free to eligible children when school is not in session. Up to two or three meals and/or snacks can be reimbursed for each child. The program serves infants and children 18 of age and younger.
