The Riverland softball team kept its season alive in the first round of the Region 13A Tournament when it beat Madison Tech 2-1 in eight innings of the first round in Rochester Friday.

The Blue Devils (18-17 overall) lost to Rochester 9-4 in the second round and will play Madison again in the consolation round on Saturday at 10 a.m. with the winner taking on Rochester at noon.
