Too many free passes took their toll on the Southland baseball team as it fell to Wabasha/Kellogg 5-2 on the road Monday.

The Rebels (2-2 overall) allowed six walks, which led to four unearned runs.

“We had too many walks and every time we had a walk it seemed like we’d have a throwing error or a passed ball,” Southland head coach Scott Retterath said. “Hopefully we can improve.”
