Richard Salisbury

Richard Lee Salisbury, age 62 of Austin died at Park Health and Rehab Center in St. Louis Park, Minn. Wednesday morning, April 15, 2009. 
Richard was born Jan. 19, 1947 to Clifford B. and Ruth (Marshall) Salisbury in Austin.  He graduated from Lyle High School in 1965.  Rick served in the Vietnam Conflict from Oct. 15, 1965 until Oct. 14, 1968.  After his discharge with a rank of E-6, he moved to Indiana to live for several years before returning to Minnesota. 
He made his home in Austin where he shared ownership in Bo-De Sales.  He enjoyed gathering with friends and working with his hands on wood and metal.  When his children were young, he enjoyed spending weekends at Lake Cumberland.
Survivors include a son, Jason Salisbury, Dillsboro, Ind.; a daughter, Deanna Sizemore, Greendale, Ind.; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, brother, Donald (Nancy) Salisbury, Rudd, Iowa; sister, Catherine (John) Fletcher, St. Peter, Minn.; and his second wife, Glenna Gulley, Aurora, Ind. 
He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Linda; a daughter, Misty Ann; and a son, Michael.
Worlein Funeral Home, Austin, in charge of arrangements.  Upon Richard’s request, his body was cremated, and no services will be held at this time.
