The Southland baseball team came up with an 8-4 win at St. Charles Tuesday.
The Rebels (4-3 overall) trailed 4-3 after five, but they took the lead in the top of the sixth by getting some walks.
“Their pitcher had a hard time finding the strike zone and we were patient at the plate,” Southland head coach Scott Retterath said.
Alan May struck out nine for Southland while walking just one.
“Alan threw a pretty good game and right now our pitching staff is keeping us in ball games,” Retterath said.
The Rebels had just eight hits on the night, but drew eight walks.
