Maudine M. Rasmussen, 83, of Austin, died Thursday, April 23, 2009, at Que Senior Care, Lindstrom, Minn.
Maudine was born July 2, 1925 in Kountze, Texas to Daniel and Mattie (Taylor) Riley. Maudine lived her early years in Texas and in 1948 came to Minnesota. She married Lester K. Wilson on March 18, 1948. After his death she married Ervin C. Rasmussen on March 20, 1965.
She is survived by her daughter, Rebecca (Gregory) Biedermann, Lindstrom; son, Kenneth (Barbara) Wilson, Cromwell; step-daughter, Marilyn (Paul) White, Detroit Lakes and Lake Havasu, Arizona; five grandchildren, Jeremy Wilson, Rock Creek, Nicole (Tom) Sandstrom, East Bethel, Abraham (Jennifer) Wilson, Seaside, California, Mariah (Dan) Tricker, Cushing, Wisconsin, Zachariah Wilson, Duluth; three step-grandchildren, Jenny (Scott) Blatchford, Cloquet, Jill (Chris) Halvorson, Las Vegas, Nev., Jeremy Wasserman, Phoenix, Ariz.; six great-grandchildren, Makensie Biedermann, Athena Wilson, Samantha Sandstrom, Seraphina Wilson, Alec Sandstrom, Milo Tricker; three step-great-grandchildren, Nicole and Nathan Blatchford, Riley Halvorson; sister, Nadine (Hilton) Henschen, Austin; brother, Pat Riley, Lumberton, Texas; many nieces and nephews.
Maudine was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Lester K. Wilson and Ervin C. Rasmussen; four brothers; three sisters.
Special thanks to her wonderful caregiver, Sue Glenna for the five years of extraordinary care and love she provided our mom, and the special friendships she made while there, especially with “Grandpa”.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 28, 2009, at Worlein Funeral Home Chapel in Austin with Associate in Ministry Todd Portinga officiating. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery. Friends may call at Worlein Funeral Home one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
