The Lyle High School junior class is seeking help to ensure a spring prom will be held in May.
According to Robin Meyer, cash donations are being solicited.
The date for the prom is May 2 at LHS.
The events begin with the crowning of the prom king and queen at 8:30 p.m. followed by a dance until midnight.
There will be a post-prom party at the school from midnight to 4 a.m.
The post-prom party will follow a “Casino Night” theme with blackjack tables, roulette, pool, dart machines and bean bags.
The goal of the LHS prom fund drive is to raise $3,500, the cost of last year’s prom, according to Meyer.
The LHS junior class has 13 students this year, according to the post-prom committee chairperson.
The students and adult volunteers are seeking cash donations and items for prize drawings.
