Austin Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 1215 will host a flag retirement ceremony Wednesday.

Local Boy Scouts of America members and VFW members will join in the ceremonies scheduled to begin at 4:30 p.m. in the VFW parking lot.

John Register, an Eagle Scout, and his mother, Sue Register, junior vice commander of the post, as well as past-commander Norm Hecimovich will lead the ceremonies.

All flags intended for retirement must be delivered to the VFW post prior to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday.
