Elaine Quill

Elaine Marjorie (Ehmke) Quill, 71, of Austin, died on April 9, 2009, at 11:15 a.m. in Austin. 
On Jan. 3, 2009, just three months and six days before, her beloved husband, Ronald Perry Quill, died at the age of 71.
Elaine Marjorie Ehmke was born Nov. 16, 1937,  in Waltham, Minn., the daughter of Maynard and Marge (Lewis) Ehmke.  Elaine was united in marriage to Ronald Quill on Dec. 30, 1956, in Waltham. Elaine worked for many years at the Vernon Creamery, Hayfield Window Company, the Hormel Corporate Office and the Brownsdale Bank. She was the most proud to work as a farmer next to her husband for more than 50 years. 
She was a long-time member of WIFE (Women In Farm Economics).  She proudly won another term as treasurer in Red Rock Township.
Elaine is survived by her daughter: Denise (Dr. Charles) Campbell, Chicago; son: Scott (Sandy) Quill, Hampton, Minn.; four grandsons: Anthony Quill, Jack Cameron, Taylor Quill, and Ian Cameron.  She is so loved by siblings: Leonard (Sharon) Ehmke, Waltham; Bev (John) Remker, Spring Valley, Minn.; Bonnie (Larry) Sumner, Waltham; Donna (Donnie) Senjem, Hayfield, Minn.; and Brad (Carol) Ehmke, Waltham. 
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ronald Quill; and brother, Kevin Ehmke.
The funeral service for Elaine Marjorie Quill will be 11 a.m. Thursday, April 16, 2009, at West St. Olaf Lutheran Church in rural Hayfield. with the Rev. Darby Lawrence officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 15, 2009,  at the Czaplewski Family Funeral Home in Hayfield and one hour before the service at the church on Thursday. Family prefers memorials to donor’s choice.
