Memorial services for Carol Jean Cramer of Glenville will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Zion Lutheran Church in Dexter. The Rev. Lyle Aadahl will officiate. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Zion Cemetery.
Carol died Thursday, April 9, 2009, as a result of an automobile accident. She was 45 years of age.
Carol was born Jan. 30, 1964, in Austin, the daughter of Edward and Carol (Cruikshank) Cramer. She attended public school in Austin and Adams. For the past six years she has resided in Glenville.
Carol was baptized and confirmed at the Zion Lutheran Church in Dexter. She held her CDL with a Hazmat endorsement, was a certified welder, worked with upholstery and was a hairdresser. She loved gardening, pets, (especially Odie) camera club, travel, fishing and her archery team. Carol was very creative and had many talents. She would do anything for anyone. She had a special love for her nieces and nephews.
Carol is survived by her significant other, Todd Oakland of Glenville; siblings: Sandra (David) Nelson of Lyle, Dale (Kevin) Lavely of Carson City, Nev., Cynthia (Steve) Vogt of Sargeant, Vernette (Grant) Derdall of Ethan, S.D., Sara (Darold) Bitterman of Tripp, S.D., Henry (Sonia) Cramer of Sioux Falls, S.D., Ellen Cramer and fiancé Trevor Marotz of Watertown, S.D.; stepmother, Rose Cramer of Stickney, S.D.; and stepfather, James Crichton of Adams. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews and foster parents: Frances Hug and Gerald Gunderson.
She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
