The Awesome Blossoms came out with a sharp season opening performance in a 5-2 win at Triton Friday.

BP jumped out to a 5-0 lead as Jamie Willette knocked in a run on a triple in the third inning to kickstart the offense.

“Jamie’s hit got us going,” BP head coach Chris Staloch said.

BP scored three more times in the fourth to take a commanding lead.

The Blossoms drew eight walks in the victory.

“We just swung at strikes and that was huge,” Staloch said.
