Austin Medical Center is holding its 10th annual Women in Health workshop on Saturday, May 9 at the Historic Paramount Theatre in Austin.  The workshop begins at 8 a.m. with registration and a light breakfast, and the program begins at 9 a.m. with a welcome by Adam Rees, AMC’s chief administrative officer.

Participants in this year’s program will learn about women’s cancer screenings, memory and aging, how to make healthy food choices, and how you can help be more satisfied with your service at Austin Medical Center.

“This is a special year for us,” said Tami Oldfather, communications manager at AMC. “We have had anywhere between 280 to 450 women attend each year, and feedback given to us at the end of each workshop tells us they just love it.  Each year we try to provide different topics from the last year, and that may also include topics that are timely in the news.  And this is a free workshop, so you really do get your money’s worth.”
