Two Austin juveniles were cited Tuesday for shooting at two businesses with a paintball gun.
According to Austin Police reports, the male subjects, ages 16 and 15 years old, were given citations for criminal property damage and possession of a dangerous weapon and then released to parents for shooting at both Elrod & Green DDS and Nicol’s Fast Lube & Car Wash with green paintballs.
A witness at Elrod & Green reported the building shot with the green paintballs and then witnessed a black, two-door Volkswagen Beetle leaving the scene. Another witness at Nicol’s heard the actual shooting of the paintball gun and saw one of the juveniles holding the paintball gun. That witness got the license plate of the Beetle and Austin Police were able to track the juveniles down.
Police talked to one suspect’s mother by phone and were later able to identify green paintballs at his home.
