Pacelli High School drama students will present “The Mysterious Art of Advertising” on Friday at 7 p.m.; Saturday at 7 p.m.; and Sunday at 2 p.m.

Cast members include: Halla Nelson, Stephanie Kasel, Jacob Evans, Colton Scherer, Amanda Enstad, Mindy Nguyen, Lindsey Chapek, Spencer Holtorf, Jenine Nguyen, John Ethen, Dawn Blake, Abby Leif, Madeline Kraemer, Stephanie Kocer, Drew Chapek, Michael Bergstrom, Mathias Weinmann and Megan Koch.

The history, origins and evolution of advertising are ridiculed in this fun satire on the art of persuasion and our passion for material possessions and convenient lives.  In TV news format, the show includes live interviews, open discussions, skits, over-the-top commercials and wild-card segments called “Strange But True” that reveal odd facts and trivia about our fashion-obsessed, beauty-starved culture.

This play will be performed under the direction of drama director Brigitte Campbell and assistant director Barb Kasel.  This comedy was written by Laura Toffenetti and has the rare qualities necessary to be funny for the whole family.

All performances will be held in the newly-renovated Pacelli auditorium.  Admission will be adults, $5; students/staff, $3; and family, $15.
