Grief support group to meet

Austin Medical Center, part of Mayo Health System, Hospice Program will hold a support group for family members who have experienced the death of a loved one, beginning April 14 through May 19.

The group meets every Tuesday from 4 to 5:30 p.m. at AMC in the Administrative Board Room on the level of the cafeteria at 1000 First Dr. N.W. in Austin.

It is the goal of the AMC Hospice Program to provide the highest quality of care and to meet the health care needs of the patient and family.  Services that are provided in the program include hospice care, skilled nursing care, personal care/homemaker duties, therapy, nutrition support, pharmacy services, medical social work, physician directed services, clergy, volunteer and bereavement support.

Hospice provides a caring and healing place for you and your family as you grieve.  Call 434-1415 to register for the support group or for more information about hospice care.  There is no cost to attend the grief support group sessions.
