An innovative program for caregivers of persons with Alzheimer’s disease recently received the prestigious Rosalynn Carter Leadership in Caregiving Award.

The Minnesota Family Memory Care Initiative, developed by the Minnesota Board on Aging and the Alzheimer’s Association Minnesota-North Dakota in partnership with New York University researchers, is helping to develop and expand affordable and accessible services which support people with Alzheimer’s and their caregivers.

The success of the pilot project means that the initiative can increase to serve 250 spousal caregivers with ongoing support.
