Some people have mixed feelings about Valentine’s Day. They feel it’s ridiculous to have to set a day aside to tell a loved one how they feel, and that like many holidays, it has simply turned into a big commercial mess.

While these arguments have valid points, the bottom line is we probably need more Valentine’s Days.

With our nation at war, a weak economy, violence active throughout the world and a high divorce rate, we welcome a day that centers around doing something positive for another person or simply telling them how you feel.

It’s a welcomed concept and one that we encourage our readers to take part in every day, not just on Feb. 14.
