Mary A. Earl, 70
Mary An Earl, 70, of Austin, died at St. Mark’s Lutheran Home on Feb. 12, 2009.
She was born March 9, 1938 to Theodore and Mabel (Nordland) Lestrud in Austin, where she grew up and graduated from high school in 1956. She married Donald Earl on Oct. 6, 1956 in Austin. They had three sons. They were later divorced. A lifelong resident of Austin and a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, Mary loved to play cards, liked to spend time in the sun at East Side Lake and enjoyed playing Bingo. She found great joy in time spent with family, especially her grandson, Bradley, as well as her friends and her Twin Towers “family.” We would like to say a heartfelt thank you for the tender, compassionate care the staff at St. Mark’s gave to our mother.
Survivors include three sons, Robert Earl, Austin, Steve (Kathleen) Earl, Brownsdale, John (Tina) Earl, Bentonville, Ark.; grandson, Bradley, Austin; brother, Kenneth Lestrud, Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister.
Memorial services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 15, 2009 at Worlein Funeral Home Austin with Father Joe Fogal officiating. Friends may greet the family one hour prior to the service. Interment is at Calvary Cemetery in Austin. Worlein Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
