Mary L. Davison, 68
Mary Lucille Davison, 68, of Austin, died on Sunday, Feb. 8, 2009 at Season’s Hospice in Rochester.
Mary was born May 23, 1940 in Austin to Harold and Lucille (Hesse) Davison. She graduated from Austin High School in 1958 and Austin Junior College in 1960. Mary attended the University of Minnesota. She worked at St. Olaf Hospital, currently Austin Medical Center, as a ward clerk and in central supply for 29 years. Mary retired in 2001. She enjoyed reading, gardening and especially journaling. She taught all her nieces and nephews to have a great love for books.
Survivors include her son, Gregg (Hannah) Schochet, White Bear Lake; two grandchildren, Austin and Amber; two brothers, Joe (Sue) Davison, Austin, Harold (Jean) Davison, Rochester; two sisters, Ann (Mark) Warrington, Red Wing, Dorothy (Steve) Krob, Austin; 12 nieces and nephews; 14 great-nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; an infant brother and a niece.
Memorial services will be held 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 14, 2009 at Mayer Funeral Home with Father Joe Fogal officiating. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at Mayer Funeral Home on Saturday. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials to Sacred Heart Care Center Assisted Living, Season’s Hospice and the Paramount Theatre.
