Marie  White, age 99 of Austin, died Friday, Feb. 6, 2009 at St. Mark’s Lutheran Home in Austin.
 Marie was born May 14, 1909 in Kesley, Iowa to Charles and Gertrude (Brinkman) Brinkman.
 She attended country school at Kesley. Marie was married to Delbert Lionel White on Jan. 20, 1931 at Dumont, Iowa.  They resided in Kesley, Dumont and Greene, Iowa before moving to Austin. 
Marie was a homemaker and a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Austin. She enjoyed playing piano and guitar. Marie was an animal lover and loved spending time with her family.
Marie is survived by sons: Gene (Jean)  White, Austin, Ronald  White, Austin; grandchildren: Connie  Jensen, Faribault, Minn., Marjorie (Robert)  Stoffer, Chanhassen, Minn.; Michael (Rose)  White, Winnebago, Minn.; Jamie  White, Rochester; Mark (Lisa)  White, Owatonna, Minn.; 10 great-grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; brother: Eddy  Brinkman, Marshalltown, Iowa; nephew: Edward (Barbara)  Brinkman, Aredale, Iowa;
Marie was preceded in death by her husband and a son, Charles.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2009 at Grace Lutheran Church with the Reverend Jeffrey Forbes Officiating.  Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Austin.  Visitation will be at Grace Lutheran Church on Wednesday from 1 to 2 p.m. and for one hour before the service at the church on Wednesday. The family prefers memorials to Grace Lutheran Church.
 Casketbearers will be Michael White, Mark White, Logan White, Isaac White, Chris Anderson and Garrett Springer.
