L/P girls can’t keep up with Medford

LYLE — The Lyle/Pacelli girls basketball team made an early second half run but came up short in a 67-39 loss to Medford in Lyle Thursday.
The Athletics (0-20 overall) fell behind 39-19 early in the second half but scored seven straight to pull within 39-26 with 13:14 left in the game.
Emily Rysavy had a drive for a score and a steal during the run.
But Medford’s Kristin Welinski hit a three to make it 42-26 and the Tigers (2-20 overall) pulled away from that point on.
