While one of their players reached a major milestone, the LeRoy/Ostrander boys basketball team suffered a 60-33 loss at Glenville/Emmons in it’s regular season finale Friday.
The Cardinals (11-15 overall) trailed 19-10 at the half and shot just 18 percent (12-for-66) from the field on the night.
“We could not make a basket,” L/O head coach Jason Herber said. “They did a nice job on keying on Josh Rowe and Michael Knight and they left our other guys open.”
Knight scored his 1,000th point of his career in the loss and he joins Rowe on the 1,000 point club.
“It’s special to have two guys score 1,000 on one team. It means the world to me,” L/O head coach Jason Herber said.
The Cards will enter the playoffs as a No. 7 seed and they will play at No. 2 Lanesboro Friday. L/O recently lost to the Burros in OT.
“I know the season didn’t go the way we wanted it to,” Herber said. “But now we’ve got a fresh start and everyone has the same record.”
