Jeanne A. (Cress) Ginder, 85
Jeanne Adelle (Cress) Ginder, 85, formerly of Austin, beloved wife and mother, was welcomed into God’s loving arms on Feb. 21, 2009.
Jeanne was born March 30, 1923 in Rose Creek to William and Mary Cress. She met her future husband, Paul, in 1947 while dancing at the Terp Ballroom in Austin. She and Paul married the following year and raised their family in Austin where they lived for over 30 years.
Jeanne’s life centered around children — her own, her grandchildren and those she cared for in her home. She and Paul moved to Madison Lake, Minn. in 1986, where she enjoyed boating with her husband, reading and playing innumerable board games with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her loving husband of 60 years, Paul; sons, Peter (Geri), Andy (Karen), Mark (Debbie); daughters, Terri (Bob) Richter, Rosemary (Terry) Sexton, Mariana (Michael Goblirsch) Ginder; grandchildren, Paul and Will Ginder, Abby, Andrea and Andrew Ginder, Martha, Millie, Alex and David Ginder, Nikki (Keith) Matowitz, Bobby and Kristin Richter, Sarah (Shawn) Mahmud, Bekah, Liz, Rachael and Sam Sexton, John and Eleanor Goblirsch, and two imminent great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her son, Jerry.
A funeral mass will be celebrated 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 26, 2009 at Queen of Angels Catholic Church with Father Robert Schneider officiating. Friends may call one hour before the service at the church.  Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
The family would like to especially thank the staff at Sunrise Cottages of Mankato for their wonderful care of Jeanne these last few years. Arrangements by Mayer Funeral Home.
