Get help with TV conversion

There is special help for senior citizens to make the digital television conversion this month.
Senior citizens can receive free help from certified technicians for their digital TV installation.
The conversion from analog to digital begins Feb. 17. At that point, broadcasting of the current analog television signal will cease.
All television signals will be broadcast in the digital format.
People relying on “rabbit ears” indoor antennas or an outside antenna will not be able to pickup digital signals unless they install a converter box or are cable television subscribers.
Converter boxes are being sold at local television and electronics supply stores. A free coupon to defray the expense of purchasing a converter box is also available online.
The conversion has been widely publicized throughout the media, but particularly by television stations, who also have information to share about the conversion.
The Mower County Senior Center’s free advice and installation can be scheduled by calling the senior center at 433-2370.
