On a rough night for offenses, the Packers boys basketball team got past Faribault 47-31 on the road Friday.

“Neither team shot well,” Austin head coach Kris Fadness said. “We must’ve played pretty good defense but they couldn’t make a shot.”

The Falcons (10-7 overall) shot just seven percent (2-for-28) from the field in the first half and they missed 21 of 23 three-pointers on the night.

“I don’t think we played real well, but we did get the win,” Fadness said.

The Packers (12-3 overall, 9-1 Big Nine) used an 11-0 run to go up 17-5 early, and after Faribault pulled to within six in the second half, Nate Justice drilled a three that kept them at bay.

Austin scoring: Connor Gunderson, 18; Will Felten, 7; Steven Rizzi, 6; Marcus Gunderson, 5; Nate Justice, 5; Chris Jahr, 3; T.J. Fritz, 2; Kevin Lyke, 1
