Delores E. Renchin, 91
Delores Elaine Renchin, age 91 of Blooming Prairie, died on Feb. 4, 2009 at Fieldcrest Care Center in Hayfield.
She was born Sept. 22, 1917 to Stephen and Amelia (Skalicky) Severson in Blooming Prairie. After graduating from Blooming Prairie High School, she took nurses training. Delores married Raymond “Dutch” Renchin on Feb. 25, 1939 in Austin. They owned and operated the Gamble’s store in Blooming Prairie for 30 years. In her younger days, Mrs. Renchin was an avid golfer and bridge player, a member of the Methodist Church and Eastern Star. They enjoyed summers at their cabin on North Star Lake in Northern Minnesota. After retirement from the hardware business, she worked for Carlson Construction and also was a nursing assistant at Prairie Manor. She dearly loved her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include a daughter, Ann (Thomas) Noble, Stewartville; daughter-in-law, Mary Renchin, Austin; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sister, Marjorie Wencl, Owatonna.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Dale.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 14, 2009 at Fellowship United Methodist Church in Austin with Pastor Dennis Tamke officiating. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the service.  Interment is at Blooming Prairie Cemetery. Worlein Blooming Prairie Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
