Ronald P. Quill, 71
Ronald Perry Quill, 71, of Austin, died in Chicago, Ill. on Jan. 3, 2009.
Ronald was born on March 7, 1937, in Hayfield, Minn. the son of Harold O. and Ruth Ethelyn (Wilson) Quill. He was united in marriage to Elaine M. Ehmke on Dec. 30, 1956, in Waltham, Minn. and the couple have been married for 52 years. Ron served in the U.S. Army and worked for Hormel for over 10 years. He farmed all his life. Over the years Ronnie enjoyed speaking Norwegian, motorcycle riding, country music, playing the fiddle and being with his friends and family. He enjoyed his visits to Oslo where people referred to him as “Nice Ronnie”.  He loved his farm and was a proud Norwegian. 
Ronald is survived by his loving wife, Elaine Quill, Austin; daughter, Denise (Dr. Charles) Campbell, Chicago, Ill.; son, Scott (Sandy) Quill, Hampton, Minn.; four grandchildren, Jack and Ian, Cameron; Anthony and Taylor Quill. 
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Hal Quill.
Ron and Elaine danced one last dance in Chicago, New Years Day Eve.  Oh, how we loved you Ronnie, Dad and Grandpa.
The funeral service for Ronald Perry Quill will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 8, 2009, at West St. Olaf Lutheran Church in rural Hayfield, MN with the Reverend Darby Lawrence officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2009, at the Czaplewski Family Funeral Home in Hayfield and one hour before the service at the church.
