Recount needs to end quickly

The 111th Congress has officially opened and the U.S. Senate recount in Minnesota is still an ongoing issue.
Republican Norm Coleman has filed a lawsuit to contest the certified recount results, which have Democrat Al Franken leading by a margin of 225 votes.
Recounts shouldn’t be taken likely. They should be followed according to state law to reflect the most accurate vote of the people possible.
So far, all indications are that the recount has been followed by law, and we’re now in the wait and see period until the lawsuit is settled.
In the meantime, the residents of Minnesota are the ones suffering. While the suit is going on, Minnesotans have only one voice in the Senate right now, Democrat Senator Amy Klobuchar.
For the sake of the constituents, we hope the process is done correctly, but it also needs to be done quickly as well.
