Peggy L. Miller, 60, of Austin, died on Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2008 at Austin Medical Center.
Peggy Lou Skalicky was born July 29, 1948 in Powers Lake, N.D. to Victor and Elsie (Rouse) Skalicky. She grew up in the Hampton, Iowa area. She married Ronald Miller on July 19, 1972 in Peoria, Ill. They have made their home in Austin for the last six years. Peggy was a carrier for the Mower County Shopper as well as owning her own business, Stanley Home Cleaning, and was a Watkins distributor. Peggy liked to make dreamcatchers, enjoyed walks and bowling, and loved spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include her husband, Ronald Miller, Austin; sons, Dywane Miller and Dan Miller, both of Austin; daughter, Lori Miller, Rock Valley, Iowa; two granddaughters; four grandsons; two stepdaughters; two brothers, Steve Skalicky, Gainesville, Fla., Gene Skalicky, Minot, N.D.; four sisters, Jeannie Skalicky, Diane Fink, Marysville, Ark., Dorothy Ojay, Yorba Linda, Calif., Terri Skalicky Evans, Cedar Rapids, Iowa; many nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Victor and Elsie Skalicky; son, Roy Michael; daughter, Tammy Sue; two grandsons; one brother, David Skalicky; and niece, Dessa Fink.
There will be no services at this time. Interment will take place at a later date at the Hampton Cemetery, Hampton, Iowa. Memorials are preferred to the family. Worlein Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
