The Austin girls hockey team made the best of their shots in a 5-1 win over John Marshall on the road Saturday.
The Packers (9-9-3 overall, 6-7-1 Big Nine) had just 14 shots, but they produced five goals as Catherine Wagner scored three times.
“We didn’t skate very well and our passing was sloppy,” Austin head coach Denny Bray said. “But it’s better to win ugly than lose pretty.”
