One injured in crash

GRAND MEADOW — A two-vehicle accident involving a pickup truck and a semi was reported near 9 p.m. Friday.
According to a Mower County Sheriff’s Office report, a pickup truck rear-ended a semi tractor-trailer rig about one-mile west of Grand Meadow along Highway 16.
The mishap occurred in front of Valley Transportation Service.
The driver of the pickup truck, of Dundas, Ontario, Canada, suffered only slight injuries and is being held for court after his blood-alcohol level tested above the legal limit, according to the report.
The pickup truck was found in a roadside ditch and the semi rig parked along the highway shoulder.
