An Austin man reported missing early Tuesday morning was found sleeping in his vehicle at Oak Park Mall.

According to Austin police, Jose Rodriguez reported his dad, Alberto Rodriguez, 54, missing shortly after midnight Tuesday after last seeing him at 11:30 a.m. Monday when he was taking his grandchild to school at Queen of Angels.

Jose stated that Alberto was to also make a payment at Accentra Credit Union.

Then, at around 7:46 a.m. Tuesday, a custodian for Oak Park Mall reported a man sleeping in his vehicle in the parking lot of the mall. Police arrived and found Alberto sleeping and had him transported to Austin Medical Center for low core temperature.

There is no known reason for why Alberto spent the night in his vehicle.
