Austin Mayor Tom Stiehm will give a State of the City address at 6 p.m. Wednesday in the City Hall Council Chambers in the Austin Municipal Building, 500 Fourth Ave. N.E.

The mayor will address two major issues that the city is currently facing: the city budget with regard to the loss of state aid and immigration.

The address is scheduled to be run live over Channel 16, the government access channel.

A question-and-answer period will follow the speech. The public is invited to attend.
