Margaret A. Gerber, 83
Margaret Anna Gerber, 83, of Adams, Minn., died on Jan. 25, 2009 at the Adams Health Care Center.
Margaret was born July 30, 1925, in Wapsi, Iowa. After attending school in Wapsi, she married Robert Gerber on Nov. 24, 1942. They made their home on a farm in the Adams area. A homemaker, she enjoyed crocheting, crafts, sewing and gardening. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, teaching them how to bake. She was a member of SHCCW. 
She is survived by her husband, Robert; son, Jerry (Dorothy), Adams; daughters, Barbara (John) Garvey, Wayzata, Minn., Cindy (John) Thomas, Lake City, Minn.; daughter-in-law, Marlys, Adams; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Isabelle Gilgenbach and Marie Rauen, both of Adams.
She was preceded in death by a son, Richard; sister, Marcella Winkels; three brothers, Alfred, Lawrence and Paul Retterath.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2009 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father James Seitz officiating. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Adams. A wake service will be at Adams Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. with a Rosary service at 4:30 p.m. and a 7 p.m. prayer service. Friends may also call on Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
