A new year is here. Throughout the entire nation, from bailouts, to home foreclosures, to stock prices dropping at a rapid pace, 2008 was a pretty rough year.

The good news is a new one starts today.

While we don’t need a fresh new year to make positive changes in our lifestyles, such as eating better, watching spending more, or quitting a bad habit, there’s something about Jan. 1 that just sounds like the right time to do it.

We hope all of our readers pick good resolutions for the next year and find the motivation to keep them.

We also hope for a better year economically for both the country and right here in Mower County.
