More than $9,000 worth of goods were reported stolen Monday afternoon from a southwest Austin home. According to an Austin police report, items ranging from a Toshiba computer, 52-inch plasma TV, digital camera and various pieces of gold and silver, with an estimated value of $9,250, were lifted from the home of Ledis Perez, 405 19th St. S.W., sometime in the morning.
At about 2 p.m. Monday afternoon, Perez’s 14-year-old daughter came home to find a door to the home standing open and went next door to call police. Police cleared the home and found the home empty.
A neighbor reported to police that at around 9:30 a.m. that morning an older white SUV pulled into the driveway and three clean-cut Hispanic males ranging in the 18-25 age range got out and entered the house.
After they allegedly took the items, the neighbor said the SUV then left northbound on 19th Street Southwest.
There are no suspects at this time.
