Winifred G. Jeffers, 94, Lincoln, Neb., died on Dec. 6, 2008.
She was born in Glenwood City, Wis., on March 25, 1914 to Al and Minnie (Ellis) Johnston. She was a retired furniture store bookkeeper in Austin. Winifred was a member of Indian Hills Community Church, and loved to read, play cards and bridge.
 Family members include, sons and daughters-in-law, Jim (Neenie) Jeffers, Raymond, Neb., Jay (Lorinda) Jeffers, Minn., Bruce (Rachel) Jeffers, California; daughter-in-law, Margot Barnes, Colorado; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by husband, Roy; son, Patrick; two sisters and two brothers.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, on Dec. 12, 2008 Roper and Sons Chapel in Lincoln, Neb., with Pastor Eddie Masters officiating. Memorials are prefered to Indian Hills Community Church Lincoln, NE 68510 or donor’s choice. There will be no visitation.
