Valaria A. “Larrie” Wagner, 85
Valaria Ann “Larrie” Wagner, 85, of Austin died on Nov. 21, 2008 at the Owatonna Commons in Owatonna, Minn.
Born June 24, 1923 in Melrose, Minn., she was the daughter of Loretta and Gus Koll. She married Robert Leon Wagner at Fort Snelling, Minn. on June 29, 1945 and enjoyed more than 63 years of marriage. There was nothing Valaria loved more than her family, her volunteer work, and her deep devotion to her faith and St. Augustine church, where she was an active volunteer and a member of the church choir. She, along with her husband Bob, was a volunteer at Sacred Heart for many years. She also enjoyed working at the Philomathian Library. An avid card player, she loved playing bridge and being with her friends. Valaria also found great pleasure in cooking, sewing and her extensive collection of Precious Moments figurines. Valaria will be remembered for her many qualities but especially for deep love for her husband and family, which was felt by all. 
Survivors include her three sons, Tom (Deb), Castle Rock, Colo., Dave (Terry), Chaska, Minn., Mike (Ann), Los Angeles, Calif.; son-in-law, Harry Harwick, Estes Park, Colo.; grandchildren, Lindsay (Wagner) Vatterott and husband Franco, Ryan Wagner, Nicole (Wagner) Sopena and husband Victor, Megan Wagner and Sydne Harwick; two great-grandchildren, Kylan Vatterott and Layla Vatterott; brothers, Tony (Marie) Koll, Chaska, Richard Koll, Sauk Rapids, Minn., Gerald Koll, Fenton, Mich.; sister, Margie (Koll) Schmidt, Willmar, Minn.; sister-in-law, Lois Koll, Sebeka, Minn.; brother-in-law, Williard (Genevieve) Wagner, Austin. She is also survived by 17 nieces and 11 nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband Robert on July 8, 2008, and her daughter, Carol Ann Harwick.  
A memorial mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 6, 2008 at St. Augustine Catholic Church with Father Joe Fogal officiating. There will be a 4 p.m. CCW rosary on Friday at Mayer Funeral Home where friends may call from 4 to 5:30 p.m. and also a half-hour before the service at the church on Saturday. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
