Roberta A. (Foss) White, 86
Roberta Annette (Foss) White, 86, of Austin, died on Dec. 6, 2008 at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester, Minn., with her loving husband, Dean, by her side.
Bobbie was born in Wilmot, S.D., on Aug. 4, 1922, to Elmer and Marian (Dubbel) Foss. She graduated as valedictorian from Wilmot High School in 1940; then received her associate of arts degree in 1942 from Augustana College, Siox Falls, S.D. Bobbie taught elementary grades in Canistota, S.D., Milbank, S.D. and Austin, for a total of eight years.
She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Austin and served on various church committees.
Bobbie survived by Dean, her childhood sweetheart and husband of 65 years; daughter and son-in-law, Jill (Philip) Solberg, Chippewa Falls, Wis.; grandchildren, Jennifer Solberg and Matthew Solberg, both of Temple, Ariz.
Fulfilling Bobbie’s wishes, there will be no memorial service.
