New Year’s Eve arrives

The choices are this in Austin for New Year’s Eve: The Amish Playboys, Touched and Elvis.
Also, buckets of beer.
Several entertainment options await New Year’s Eve celebrants.
The Amish Playboys will be rockin’ the popular Lefty’s Bar, 421 10th St. N.E.. Owner Randy Tigner promises a good time for everyone who visits Lefty’s.
Meanwhile, Torge’s Bar and Grille, 1700 Fourth St. N.W., will feature the band Touched, plus Absolut vodka drink specials. A $3 cover charge will be imposed. Elvis tribute artist Brad Boice will entertain beginning 7:30 p.m. at the Paramount Theatre. Tickets are $15 each. Boice will be accompanied by the D.C. Drifters band at the New Year’s Eve party and concert at the Paramount Theatre. The B&J Bar and Grill will cater beverages for the night’s entertainment.
Another New Year’s Eve option is the Windrift Lounge and Restaurant, 2511 11th St. N.E. Split Shot will provide the music, featuring the “Bissen boys” and Joey Kroc. Also, there will be everybody’s favorite drink special: Buckets of beer. At all local bars and lounges, reminders are posted for Designated Driver services.
