Ida A. Frieda Bray, 95
Ida Ann Frieda Bray, 95, of Austin, died at Grandma B’s Elder Care in Rochester, MInn., on Dec. 7, 2008.
She was born on June 26, 1913 to Henry and Mary (Oldenburg) Linnemeyer in Wykoff, Minn., where she grew up and received her education. She helped her sister, Sophie, with her family until her marriage to Walter Bray on May 19, 1930 in Austin. They made their home in Austin. Walter died on April 7, 1994. Ida belonged to Ladies Aid at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church and enjoyed gardening, canning and sewing. She moved to Sunrise Cottages in Rochester in 2003 and in August of 2006 to Grandma B’s Elder Care.
Survivors include her daughters, Shirley (Donald) Hallback, Cloquet, Wendy (Joseph Niesen) Mlenar-Niesen, Rochester; son, Walter (Roxanne) Bray, Apache Junction, Ariz.; daughter-in-law, Norma Bray, Austin; 24 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; sister, Louise (Victor) LeFevere, Spring Valley, Minn.; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Walter; seven sisters; three brothers; two daughters, Lois Roseth and Barbara Thompson; two sons, George Bray and William Bray; one grandson; two great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 13, 2008 at Worlein Funeral Home Chapel in Austin with Pastor David Fleischmann officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Interment is at Grandview Cemetery, Austin.
