A Brownsdale woman reported a fire at her residence in the 500 block of Grove Street Northeast on Tuesday.

At 11:53 a.m., the woman reported she had been cooking when her stove caught fire, said Mark May, Mower County deputy sheriff.

The Brownsdale Fire Department responded and extinguished the fire.

There is not loss estimate at this time.
