Burglary reported in GM

A rural Grand Meadow resident reported a theft of guns and cash at 4 p.m. Wednesday.
According to Mower County Deputy Sheriff Mark May, the suspect allegedly broke into a home in the 26000 block of 770th Avenue through the attached garage.
Four rifles and one handgun were reported missing; the rifles had been kept in a safe or vault.
Closets and bedrooms were ransacked and $150 cash was taken.
The estimated loss of the weapons is $4,000.
There are no suspects in the burglary at this time, May said.
