Barbara L. Pluto, 69
Barbara L. Pluto, 69, of Austin, passed away on Dec. 6, 2008 at the Golden Living Center West in Rochester, Minn.
She was born July 18, 1939 in Duluth, Minn. Her parents were Edward and Delia Moylan. She graduated from St. Peter High School in 1958. Following high school she attended Gustavus Adolphus College. She married Dr. John Pluto on Aug. 13, 1960 in St. Peter, Minn., and they moved to Austin in 1968 where John started his optometric practice.
Barbara was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church and the Order of the Eastern Star Unity Chapter #29.
Barbara is survived by her sons, Jon Pluto, North Mankato, Minn.,  Christopher (Lisa) Pluto, Dodge Center, Minn.; three grandchildren, Morgan, Sydney and Graham Pluto; brothers, James (Cindy) Utick, Duluth, Minn., Richard (Monica) Silet, St. Ignace, Mich.; sister-in-law, Hope (Glenn) Annexstad, St. Peter, Minn., nieces and nephews.
 She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dr. John Pluto; brother, James Strom and sister Karen Jantzen.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2008 at Clasen-Jordan Mortuary Chapel with the Reverend Susan Wallager officiating. The pianist will be Neal Erickson. Visitation will be at Clasen-Jordan Mortuary on Wednesday for one hour before the service. Interment will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery in Mankato, Minn.
