‘Tina and Lena’ return

Senior Resources will present “Tina and Lena” at 7:30 p.m. tonight at the Marion Ross Performing Arts Center, 147 North Broadway, Albert Lea.
Tickets purchased in advance are $13 and at the door, $15.
The box office opens at 6:30 p.m.
Tina and Lena are well-known throughout the area.
They have performed at the Freeborn and Mower county fairs.
Created in 1984, the comediennes’ fame has spread widely across the United States. They are perennial favorites at corporate outings, state and national conventions, fairs, festivals and performing arts theaters.
Annette “Lena” Hustad has degrees in music therapy from Alverno College, Milwaukee, Wis., and in music education from Augsburg College, Minneapolis, as well as the University of Minnesota, Morris.
She taught K-12 music for 10 years, and served on the Minnewaska School Board for 12 years. She and her husband, Grant, live in Glenwood, Minn.
Susan “Tina” Edwards taught K-12 physical education and elementary music and coached after receiving a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Minnesota, Morris. She worked in radio and advertising for 15 years. She and her husband, Allen, live in Alexandria.
Annette and Sue were high school classmates at Canby, Minn.
They are now active in their churches and communities, along with their full-time careers as the international entertainment/motivational act of “Tina and Lena.”
