Paul R. Ebert, 80
Paul Robert Ebert, 80, of rural Austin, died peacefully on Friday, Nov. 14, 2008, at his home.
He was born May 4, 1928, in Lac qui Parle County, Minn., the son of Fred and Ella (Haase) Ebert. He moved to Newry Township, Freeborn County, Minn., in 1934, where he attended country school. He was drafted during the Korean War and returned to Minnesota following his discharge where he worked as a carpenter for the railroad for many years. He enjoyed dancing, playing cards and loved to spend time with his nieces and nephews. He was a member of the VFW. 
Survivors include his sister, Mildred Peterson, rural Austin; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Leslie, Lloyd and John; sisters, Marie and Dorothy.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2008, at Worlein Funeral Home in Austin with Pastor Mike Olmsted of Westminster Presbyterian Church officiating. Interment will be in the Blooming Prairie Cemetery with military honors by American Legion Post 91. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials are preferred to the Donor’ choice.
