In addition to the presidential race, this year’s election features intriguing state races in our own districts, an entertaining senate contest and various local races, from mayor to city council to county commissioner.

Voting is your time to say “I don’t like this or that, and I want change in this position,” or perhaps to say, he or she “deserves that second term.”

We have a lot of important issues going on in Mower County and the city of Austin, from the tough economic times to a new jail and justice center to flood mitigation, and it’s important we elect the people who will keep in mind what’s in the best interest of our communities.

That’s where you come in.

Vote today.
