Grant C. Mulholland, 72
Grant Calvin Mulholland, 72, of Rochester died on Nov. 15, 2008.
Grant was born March 20, 1936 at home in Wabasha County to Claude and Annie Mulholland. He graduated from Mazeppa High School in 1954 and later attended Rochester Junior College and Macalaster College. In 1958, he married Audrey Jean Gaustad at the Little Brown Church in Iowa. He worked at IBM in Rochester and later McFarland Truck Lines and the Mayo Clinic Cardiovascular Physiology Laboratory. Grant loved spending time with his grandchildren and being outdoors. He was an avid reader and collector of antique and German books, a self-taught multi-linguist and hobby chemist with a passion for potentials of hydrogen.
Grant is survived by his wife, Audrey; daughter, Debra Lyn (Michael) Pfeifer, Rochester; son, Bradley (Elizabeth), Lakeville, Minn.; two sisters, Pauline Tallman, Gibson City, Ill. and Barbara Madsen, Rochester; three brothers, Maurice (Wanda) Mulholland, Rochester, Glenn (Nancy) Mulholland, Rochester and Curtis (Maxine) Mulholland, Hinckley, Minn.; four grandchildren Jacob and Brady Muholland and Michaela and Marcus Pfeifer.
He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Janet Penz; and four brothers, Dennis, Kenneth, Stanley and Duane.
Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 21, 2008 at the Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Home. Grant would prefer memorials made to Schaffer Academy.
The funeral service for Grant Calvin Mulholland will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 22, 2008 at Autumn Ridge Church, 3611 Salem Rd. S.W. with the Reverend C. John Steer officiating. Burial will be at Oakwood East Cemetery.
