“Christmas in the County” will be celebrated Friday. Dec. 12. and Saturday, Dec. 13 at the Mower County Historical Center, Austin.

The Dec. 12 schedule includes a bake sale only from 4 to 6 p.m.

The Dec. 13 schedule has a full slate of events from 3 to 7 p.m.

The schedule includes wagon rides, holiday crafts for children, cookie decorating, another holiday bake sale, musical entertainment and holiday lighting displays.

There will also be a sleigh photo opportunity.

Visitors will be invited to tour decorated train cars in the Milwaukee Road exhibit area and hear the steam engine’s whistle blow. There will be a silent auction and door prizes awarded.

Food and snacks will be sold and Santa Claus will visit with children.

Admission to the Christmas in the County celebration is free.

The Mower County Historical Center is located at the Mower County Fairgrounds, 1303 Sixth Ave. S.W.
